Who We Are

ABOUT US

STEM Institute is a for profit agency. It was established in 1999 by Vermell Jordan-Hill to serve the greater Atlanta, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and surrounding  states.

We provide a 2 -60 week comprehensive vocational skills training with a 3 year follow-up inclusive of any wrap around services needed for "At Risk" youth  Foster care youth and rehabilitated adult ex-offenders and Unhoused Veterans.

"There are thousands of at-risk youth who need help with employment, and it's impossible for state case managers and juvenile court staff to meet this critical need for youth without partners in the business community," Jordan said.

We work with employers who are seeking well-trained young people, and our job is to help prepare them for entry-level employment and independent living.  "It is impossible for a young person to live independently of public assistance today without being gainfully employed."

Vermell Jordan-Hill, Founder

Our Mission

Our mission is to increase public safety and reduce recidivism by establishing collaborative relationships with government agencies, educational institutes, healthcare systems, employment entities and counseling programs by implementing evidence based policies, procedures and programs that statistically produce positive results.

Our Approach

To accomplish its goal, the STEM program has developed an intensive aftercare/followup service that is provided to all of our students. Here at STEM, we believe in treating the whole person by addressing their unique constellation of needs.
