PROGRAM SERVICES and CERTIFICATIONS

STEM INSTITUTE'S  main goal is to ultimately reduce recidivism and enhance positive outcomes for these special populations;  secure employment opportunities coupled with employ ability skill training and job placement services are key and vital to the success of those who benefit from the program.  

STEM INSTITUTE  serves  all of these individuals and promote positive, productive citizenship within various states across this great nation,

along with other neighboring communities.  STEM’s mission is to increase public safety and reduce recidivism by establishing collaborative relationships with government agencies, educational institutions, health care systems,

employment entities, and counseling programs and by implementing evidence-based programming to provide statistically positive results amongst  the cohorts that receive training and certification from STEM INSTITUTE.  

Since 1999, STEM has gainfully used the premise of a national secure employment partnership to facilitate the process in which rehabilitated youth are able to successfully reenter the workforce with applicable employment skills that support a career as opposed to simply a “job.”  

The premise of the STEM INSTITUTE is to provide a 24-60-week comprehensive vocational employ ability skills training program that is geared to meet the workforce-related needs of youth who have interfaced with unfortunate circumstances.  

Each program participant is served using a “wraparound” model that integrates the use of cognitive-behavioral skill building and building 

on and enhancing the strengths participants already possess.  

Upon completion of the program, individuals earn a certificate.  In addition, program participants are provided with intensive aftercare services that facilitates continued support after completion of the program.   

This 

approach ensures access to the array of community-based services to promote holistic well-being and job stability.

STEM curriculum is designed to meet the specific needs of the program participants.  In addition to job readiness training, STEM also offers a range of “soft” life skills courses designed to increase success related to employment and job skills.  Certificates can be earned in the following areas:

 * Traffic Control Certification

 * Forklift Certification

 * Welding Certification

 * Serv-Safe/Manager Certificate

 *Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC);

 *Digital Literacy and Computer-Based Skills

 *Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 

 *Esthetics/Cosmetology

 *Arts/Entertainment Industry

* Culinary Arts/Food safety certification
